About

Our Story

Spoleto Vocal Arts Workshop grew from a friendship and a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of singers. Matthew Rose and Jeremy Carpenter first worked together in Maria Stuarda at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in 2014. Matthew’s work with the Tosti International Singing Academy in Folkestone and the Rose-Luxon Foundation, together with Jeremy’s work developing young singers through Vocal Masterclass Stockholm, provided the foundations for SVAW. In 2024, they brought these experiences together in collaboration with Mahler & LeWitt Studios, creating an inspiring environment in Spoleto where emerging artists can work intensively, take creative risks and receive the personal guidance needed to build lasting careers.
